Given below is a sample of geospatial visualization of the NSF Funding.
The data was downloaded from http://sdb.cns.iu.edu. The .csv file has details on various institutions receiving NSF Funding for research purposes. Each row is represents a institute receiving funding in a particular domain. Various fields include details on the institute name, institute address includig city name, state and zipcode, year of expiry of funding and amount of funding.
The Total Funding was aggregated on zipcode so that we can plot a geospatial distribution of the Funding.
This geospatial visualization uses a proportional symbol map to show the NSF Funding sized per the amount of funding and color coded on the year of expiry.
